SPOKANE COUNTY– At a press conference Wednesday, the Spokane Bike Swap handed the Friends of the Centennial Trail a check for $10,000 that was raised during the 1st annual Spokane Bike Swap.
“The donation from the Spokane Bike Swap will add a boost to our Trail Builders fund which provides essential community-based funding to projects related to the completion and enhancement of Spokane's Centennial Trail. Our heartfelt thanks to the Bike Swap Team!” said Kaye Turner, Executive Director of Friends of Centennial Trail.
Over 2,000 people attended the 1st annual Spokane Bike Swap on March 24 & 25 at the Spokane County Fair & Expo Center.
There were 26 vendors present and nearly 200 used bikes registered to sell.
By noon on the first day, attendance had reached over 1,000 bicycle enthusiasts and over half of the used bikes were sold.
