SPOKANE, Wash.—Tuesday brings a short break from the rain but mountain snow will return Tuesday night.

Showers will be widespread Tuesday morning throughout the region.

Breezy conditions persisted overnight for eastern Washington and North Idaho.

Winds are expected to pick up again Tuesday morning before dying down this afternoon.

Shower activity will also decrease Tuesday for a brief break from the wet weather.

Wet weather returns Tuesday night and the chance of rain will continue through the rest of the week for the lower elevations.

Mountain snow is likely Wednesday through Friday.
