UPDATE: At 6:00 p.m. WSDOT tweeted that it is taking longer to clear the crashes just east of Snoqualmie Pass. They now expect to reopen eastbound lanes by 8:00 p.m.

UPDATE: As of 4:10 p.m., eastbound I-90 just east of Snoqualmie Pass is expected to reopen at 6:00 p.m. Crews are still working to remove blocking cars bue to collisions.

UPDATE: As of 10:30 a.m., eastbound I-90 just east of Snoqualmie Pass is closed due to collisions. WSDOT does not yet have an estimate for a reopening time.

UPDATE: Eastbound I-90 over Snoqualmie Pass is Back open. Washington State Patrol is on the pass enforcing chain requirements.

SNOQUALMIE PASS, Wash. -- Eastbound I-90 closed over Snoqualmie Pass Thursday morning due to collisions and heavy snow.

As of 7:15 a.m., chains were required on all vehicles traveling westbound except all-wheel drive vehicles. Oversize vehicles were prohibited.

The Washington Department of Transportation said there is no estimated time of reopening.
