SPOKANE, Wash. — A 19-year-old was arrested for vehicular homicide in connection to a one-car crash on Cheney Spokane Road.

According to the Spokane County Sheriff's Office, there were three people in the car when it crashed. There was the driver, 19-year-old Rayce Kent, a juvenile passenger in the front seat and an adult passenger in the back seat, who died at the scene.

Kent and his passenger in the front seat are expected to recover from their injuries. The crash happened Wednesday at 6:45 p.m.

The 2002 Lexus was traveling toward Spokane on Cheney Spokane Road at a high rate of speed. Kent failed to drive on a curve, and the car left the roadway and rolled several times before coming to a stop, according to SCSO.

Deputies are waiting on results of a blood sample to determine if Kent was impaired due to severity of the crash and evidence found at the scene.

Deputies found an estimated 500-foot skid and debris trail at the scene.

Kent made his first court appearance Thursday where a judge set his bond at $25,000.
