SPOKANE, Wash. – Former President Barack Obama does not have high hopes for the Gonzaga men’s basketball team this year.

The former commander-in-chief picked Gonzaga to make it to the Sweet Sixteen, only to be beaten by Xavier.

Obama thinks Michigan State and Virginia will make it all the way to the championship game, only for the Spartans to come out on top.

Last year, the former president also seriously doubted the Zags, picking them to lose in the Sweet 16 only for them to actually make it all the way to the championship game.

Obama picked UConn to go all the way in the NCAA Women’s Tournament, and has Gonzaga losing in the first round.

President Donald Trump did not appear to fill out a bracket, but former President George H.W. Bush tweeted out his picks as well.

Bush doubts the Bulldogs even more than Obama, projecting them to lose Saturday to Ohio State.

The Gonzaga men’s team will play Saturday at 4:45 p.m. against Ohio State on KREM2. The Gonzaga women’s team will play Saturday at 3:00 p.m. against Stanford on ESPN2.
