In an offseason of departures, the Zags suffered another Friday.
Guard Dustin Triano confirmed to KREM 2 that he will leave the program for his senior season.
"It's been a great experience at Gonzaga," Triano said. "I want to go somewhere I can contribute during games."
Triano redshirted his first season, and has played the last three years, appearing sparingly off the bench. He was around for the most successful three year stretch in program history - featuring two elite eights and their run to the National Championship Game in April.
Triano called his time at GU an 'unbelievable, life changing experience'.
Prior to Triano's departure Zach Collins, Nigel Williams-Goss and Johnathan Williams declared for the NBA Draft. Williams did not hire an agent and is expected by many to return to GU. Bryan Alberts has also chosen to transfer, and Ryan Edwards graduated and will pass on his final year of eligibility.
The Vancouver, B.C. native has not started looking into possible playing destinations as of Friday afternoon.
