EVERETT, Wash. — WSP Trooper H. Axtman took to twitter Tuesday afternoon to show a dog rescued from an abandoned car on Interstate 5 near milepost 195.
Trooper Axtman said Trooper Zillmer rescued the pup during 75 degree weather on Monday.
Trooper Axtman said if the dog was left in the car for 90 minutes, it would have been about 120 degrees in the vehicle.
The trooper said this could potentially be considered second degree animal cruelty, a gross misdemeanor. It is not confirmed if the owners have gone to the shelter yet.
