SPOKANE, Wash. --- The man accused of stabbing a stranger inside a McDonalds in Spokane, has a lengthy rap sheet.
On Monday, Darrell McDuffee, 53, faced a judge on charges of attempted murder. McDuffee is accused of randomly stabbing a man in the face over the weekend.
Normally, reporters, news agencies and the like, have to sift through case files at a local courthouse to find information related to a suspect.
However, a simple Google search revealed McDuffee has been in the headlines before.
In the mid '90s, McDuffee was accused of trying to kill his own mother.
In a newspaper article, McDuffee faced attempted murder charges, but was eventually sentenced to live in a psychiatric facility. His release conditions from the psychiatric facility are currently unknown.
Another newspaper article revealed McDuffee was arrested after stealing a car and refused to obey police.
McDuffee was also featured on Nebraska’s Most Wanted for criminal warrants.
On Monday, McDuffee is back in jail and is being held on a $160,000 bond.
His next court date is set for Oct. 25.
