FRANKLIN COUNTY, Wash. – The Franklin County Sheriff's Office has suspended the search and recovery mission for a 23-year-old Spokane man who went missing after swimming in a pool below Palouse Falls on Saturday.

Officials said FCSO deputies and rescue divers searched for hours Saturday and Sunday, but rescue divers could not enter the water because the current was too dangerous and swift.

"Unfortunately, at this time, because of these dangerous conditions, attempts of search and recovery have been suspended," FCSO wrote on Facebook.
