Coeur d'Alene pastor, who was shot in 2016, endorses Raul Labrador for governor

Labrador responded to the endorsement saying he was honored to have earned Remington's trust.

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho—The pastor of The Alter Church in Coeur d’Alene announced he was endorsing Raul Labrador for Governor Wednesday.

Pastor Tim Remington said in a press release that after meeting with Labrador in the past he had kept all of his promises.

“I recently reviewed these notes and found that he kept every promise he made to us - he never wavered when the political elite kept the pressure on him,” said Remington.

Remington said Labrador was not changed by Washington D.C.

“Finding a man of integrity who has stuck to his principles is very needed in the world today. I trust Raul Labrador because he is a man of his word. For the people that don't know Raúl Labrador, he is a man that is very pro-family, very pro-life and very principled,” said Remington said.

Labrador responded to the endorsement saying he was honored to have earned Remington’s trust.

Back in March 2016, Remington was shot six times in the parking lot of his church by Kyle Odom. Authorities said Odom then caught a plane to Washington D.C. and got arrested after throwing flash drives over the fence of the White House. Later, a rambling manifesto from Odom would reveal claims that aliens had taken over his life.
