SPOKANE, Wash.—The National Night Out Against Crime kicked off Tuesday August 1, across The Inland Northwest and the United States.

National Night Out is a national event held all over the U.S and Canada to strengthen community-police relationships and fight against organized crimes.

Spokane Community Oriented Policing Services (C.O.P.S.) partners with many organizations in Spokane to throw an eventful National Night Out Party. There will be pizza, music, VIP guests, ice cream and games.

Here is a list of events scheduled for Tuesday:

  • Pearl on Adams: 3:00 p.m.-4:00p.m.
  • Rochester Heights Park: 5:30 p.m.- 7:30 p.m.
  • Minnehaha Park: 5:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
  • Shadle Park: 5:00 p.m.- midnight
  • Hamblen Park Presbyterian Church: 5:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
  • Dutch Jakes Park: 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.

The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office is also holding a National Night Out party from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at McIntire Park. The event will have food, drinks and over 100 booths for people to visit.
