Does Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway think James Comey swung the 2016 presidential election in Donald Trump's favor?

No, of course not, Conway tweeted Monday.

"Point I made on 3 shows is that we are supposed to believe THIS guy swung an election? I don't think so," she said.

Conway's words made headlines after speaking about the ex-FBI director and his new book, A Higher Loyalty.

Here's the full quote during her interview with ABC News:

"This guy swung an election. He thought the wrong person would win. His people in his household wanted the other person to win. And now, at the end of your interview, George, he gave a free political commercial, telling people to go out and vote against the president and his interests."

Conway called headlines suggesting that she actually believed Comey influenced the election "misleading."

She also told the Daily Beast that she was being sarcastic.
