SPOKANE, Wash. --- A SWAT situation at Morton Court and Westview Court in Spokane ended peacefully with no injuries on Wednesday afternoon.
Just after noon, Spokane Police responded to a report of a man calling from the Deer Run apartments on N. Morton St. where he claimed he had a hostage and weapons.
When officers arrived on scene, they learned the suspect was barricaded in his apartment with a child and was possibly suicidal, according to police. The Spokane Police SWAT Team, hostage negotiators and the Spokane Regional Explosives Disposal Unit all responded and secured the location.
