SPOKANE, Wash --- A brush fire that started Friday afternoon near West Greenwood Road and South Rimrock Drive has been knocked down, according to officials.
The Rimrock fire is burning between Greenwood Road, Houston Road and Grove Road, it is in Palisades Park. Level 1 evacuations were in place north of Greenwood Road and south of Houston Road but were cancelled around 4:00 p.m. The fire closed Greenwood Road and Indian Canyon while crews battled the blaze. Crews reopened those roads late Friday.
Officials said the fire burned 15 acres and as of 8:00 p.m. Friday, the fire was 100 percent contained. Fire crews said it was started by a campfire.
About 20 firefighters were on scene through the night making sure hot spots do not flare up.

DNR wants to remind people not to fly drones over the area. If air resources see drones in the area they have to land and they will not be able to fight the fire during that time.
