AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. – Corrections officers at the Airway Heights Corrections Center said a woman tried to smuggle drugs into the jail in her vagina.

Court documents said Yolanda Moreno had been in the prison multiple times and corrections officers had recorded conversations of her talking about introducing meth into the facility. Officers had detained her for an investigation but officials said she was not forthcoming with information.

Court documents said the officer told Moreno that investigators were certain she had meth hidden on her person. Moreno then admitted to hiding meth in her vagina, according to court documents.

Corrections staff did a strip search and recovered six bags of meth from inside her vagina, according to court records.

Moreno appeared in court Monday and a judge released her on her own recognizance. Her arraignment is set for October 24 at 10:30 a.m.
