SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane Police said a drunk driver hit one of their patrol cars head on Tuesday night.
Officials said a Spokane Police Sergeant was attempting to turn east bound on West Mallon Avenue to northbound on North Lincoln Street around 6:00 p.m. when he was hit head on.
Authorities said a car without headlights was headed westbound on West Mallon when it went straight through the southbound turn lane for North Lincoln St., through the intersection and hit the sergeant’s SUV.
The driver Kenneth Boardman, 56, was arrested for DUI. The sergeant was transported to a local hospital for evaluation of his injuries.
