SPOKANE, Wash.-- Spokane police arrested a man they believe is connected to two recent shootings, one in Spokane and one in Spokane Valley. Police believe both shootings were random.

Police arrested Brice W. Bailey, 43, at a home near Monroe and Maxwell on Wednesday.

Police believe Bailey is responsible for a shooting on Sunday, January 8 near East 7th Avenue and Thierman Road. They believe he is also responsible for shooting a teen in the head on Monday near East Sprague Avenue and South Perry Street.

The injured teen remains in critical condition.

On Wednesday, officers received a search warrant to search Bailey’s home and car. In a press conference Thursday, police said they found evidence of the crimes and methamphetamine.

Spokane Major Crimes, with help from the SPD SWAT Team, located Bailey and took him into custody without incident.

Bailey was booked on charges of first degree assault, first degree attempted murder, unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance.
