SPOKANE, Wash. --- The Spokane Fire Department responded to a two alarm fire Friday night.

The call came in around 8:30 pm to the intersection of North Adams and Broadway Streets. Fire officials said the call originally came in as a brush fire. When crews arrived on scene they found a vacant building on the corner up in flames.

The crews battled the fire for hours. They did not go into the building. They said they were concerned about the structural safety of the building. At one point there were 60 firefighters on scene.

The owner of the building arrived on scene and told fire officials it was unoccupied.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
