SPOKANE, Wash. — Southwest Airlines announced a new route between Spokane and San Jose will begin on April 8, 2018.

Spokane International Airport CEO, Larry Krauter, said in a news release the new route will help eliminate unpredictable and time-consuming hub changes. Southwest will fly a 143-seat Boeing 737-700 aircraft between the two cities.

“The new service also provides additional access to Southern California, which is among our highest traveled markets,” Krauter said.

According to the press release, the flight times between the airports are as follows:

  • Flight departs San Jose at 5:25 p.m. and arrives Spokane at 7:25 p.m.
  • Flight departs Spokane at 6:00 p.m. and arrives San Jose at 8:05 p.m.
