Search warrant for nuisance home in Spokane Valley ends in 8 arrests

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – Spokane Valley detectives arrested eight people after they served a search warrant March 15 in an investigation into a nuisance home.

Authorities became aware of the issues at the home in the 10800 block of East Main earlier this year. They said the home is known to be a hub of criminal activity including drugs and trafficking stolen property. Officials said the homeowner, Loyd ‘Steven’ Farmer, 56, is known to be involved in and allowing criminal activity to take place at his home.

On March 15 around 4:00 p.m., SWAT team members and other law enforcement served the search warrant at the home. Farmer and six were arrested at the time. One other suspect was arrested earlier in the day related to criminal activity at the home.

Farmer was booked into the Spokane County jail for three counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and three counts of unlawful use of a building for drug purposes. He was released on his own recognizance. Then, on March 19, he was arrested again for new charges based on evidence found during the serving of the search warrant. He was booked again for additional charges of two more counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of a building for drug purposes. After his court appearance on March 20, his bond was set at $5,000.

Brianna Walton, 21, was booked for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. She was released on her own recognizance.

Jarrod Howard, 36, was booked for two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. He was also released on his own recognizance.

Michael Corsbie, 26, was booked for two counts of possession of a controlled substance. He was released on his own recognizance after his court appearance.

Amanda Obier, 29, was booked for two counts of possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance after her court appearance.

Briana Evens, 23, was booked for two counts possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. She was released on her own recognizance.

Karen Nelson, 21, was booked for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. She was released on her own recognizance.

Jacob Langford, 33, was booked for a U.S. Marshal’s Hold and a felony Washington State Department of Corrections Hold.
