SPOKANE, Wash. -- River City Brewing said it will permanently close the River City tap room.

In a Facebook post, the company said the tap room will close on December 30.

The post said the company will focus more on "garage parties" and special events starting in 2018.

In the farewell post the company wrote there would still be plenty of places around the Spokane community to have their beers.

"There are lots of places to drink River City beer throughout our region so we feel as if the Tap Room has served its purpose as we introduced our beers, but now it’s time to re-focus our attention on making, kegging and bottling beer," read the post.

The tap room will be going out with a few beer deals to keep in mind.

Facebook said until the tap room does close at the end of December, all pints are $2.50 and all growler fills are $10.
