SPOKANE, Wash.—A north Spokane high school celebrated their victory for their academic and athletic award with a billboard.

Drivers can see Mead High’s billboard announcing they are the 4A Washington Interscholastic Activities Association 2016-2017 Scholastic Cup champions.

According to WIAA’s website, the Scholastic Cup is their most “prestigious annual school award.” The award is given after a year-long competition recognizes the top school in each of the six WIAA classifications based on academic, athletic and sportsmanship excellence.

Mead beat four-time champion, Newport from Bellevue to claim their victory. This is the sixth Scholastic Cup win for Mead.
