SPOKANE, Wash. – Did you think the dog days of summer were over in the Inland Northwest? Think again!
When highs get hotter than normal at the end of August, like Tuesday, temperatures eventually cool off to the 70s & 80s and stay there.
But not this year! Mother Nature is playing a big game of chutes and ladders with us and the roller coaster ride isn't over yet.
Temperatures are expected to reach the 90s and in some place the 100s on Tuesday. Temperatures then slide down to the 80s and 90s Thursday and Friday. Then, there is big climb back into the 90s for all of Labor Day weekend.
The heat is on! Record-breaking heat is possible Tuesday.
