SPOKANE, Wash. – The people of Spokane are loving the Ice Ribbon in Riverfront Park.

The Ice Ribbon had its grand opening on Friday night. KREM 2 asked people enjoying the new attraction to rate their experience Monday afternoon.

“I rate it a 10 out of 10. It was really fun I am glad I came out here,” said one person.

“Ten. It's nice because you can't do tricks, so there are places where kids can skate and not get knocked into,” said another skater.

For both experienced skaters and ones that are just starting out, the Ice Ribbon has been a great experience full of twist and turns.

“I didn't know the hill was there the first time. My friend actually fell. I didn't thankfully,” said skater Blake Massie.

If you are looking to get better your skating skills, they offer free lessons every Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
