SPOKANE, Wash. – A Spokane man was recovering Wednesday morning after escaping from a burning home in the Emerson Garfield neighborhood.
The man was injured while trying to escape the house and jumping from a second story window. He is in stable condition, officials confirmed.
Spokane Fire responded to a house fire near North Post Street and West Nora Avenue around 9:30 Tuesday night.

SFD believes the incident was sparked by grease catching fire.
