DEER PARK, Wash. – The Spokane County Fire Department is investigating a house fire that happened in Deer Park Thursday night.

According to fire officials, they got a call from neighbors shortly after 7:00 p.m. near the home engulfed in flames on Colville Road. Authorities said two men were uninjured, and only one was at home at the time of the fire. The one who was home tried to put out the fire himself but was unsuccessful.

Fire crews said at least two-thirds of the home were destroyed, but the fire is not suspicious in nature.

Red Cross is coming in to help aid the family.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
