SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane County Regional Animal Protective Service took in a dog Tuesday morning that was found in a sealed plastic container.
SCRAPS leaders said a truck driver stopped at the Fish Lake exit on I-90 late Monday night to stretch her legs when she noticed the plastic container. She then brought the dog, named Charley, to SCRAPS. They said inside the plastic container there was food and water but the puppy had been urinating and defecating in the same area.
SCRAPS officials said Charley was very dirty when he came in and has since been given a bath. They said he appears to be OK otherwise.
SCRAPS officials said they are trying to figure out who did this to Charley and they are asking the public for help. If you have any information you are asked to call SCRAPS at 509-477-2532.
Charley is being fostered before he goes up for adoption. SCRAPS said his foster parents will have the option to adopt them first if they choose.
