Body found in Spokane River identified as 17-year-old girl

Spokane Police Sgt. Terry Preuninger said the girl's body was caught in a system that diverts debris from the river.

SPOKANE, Wash. — The body pulled from the Spokane River Tuesday morning was identified by the Spokane County Medical Examiner Friday.

According to the Spokane County Medical Examiner, Sunquaria Noble, 17, was recovered from the river at Huntington Park. They have not listed a cause or manner of her death.

Spokane Police Sgt. Terry Preuninger said Noble was reported missing on May 20. 

Avista employees helped recover Noble’s body around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Preuninger said the body was caught in a system that diverts debris from the river.
