SPOKANE, Wash. – A 16-year-old boy was arrested Wednesday in connection to a deadly shooting in Downtown Spokane.

Spokane Police said the juvenile has been charged with second degree manslaughter. Officials said it will be up to a prosecutor to determine whether he will be charged as an adult. As of Wednesday afternoon, he was being held in juvenile detention.

Officials said they responded to the corner of Washington Street and Main at about 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday to reports of a deceased person. Medics tried to revive the victim, a male, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

SPD officials asked if anyone saw what happened in the area at the time of the shooting, they contact SPD.
