KELLOGG, Idaho--One driver’s actions kept people in the town of Kellogg Idaho safe from a trailer full of exploding fireworks.
Kellogg Police said a man hauling what they believed to be thousands of dollars’ worth of fireworks stopped for gas on his way through town. They said that’s when he noticed the trailer was on fire.
Officials told KREM 2 the man quickly moved the trailer down the street away from people and businesses.
Residents say they heard loud bangs and saw black smoke fill the air.
Fire crews were able to quickly put out the fire but they stayed on scene for hours making sure the blaze didn't reignite, reports said.
Police said nobody was injured.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
