COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – Coeur d’Alene Police said a serial robber was arrested on Tuesday, ending a six-week spree.

David Hunter, 53, aka “Dollar Store Grand-Pa Bandit” is accused of committing 10 robberies at Dollar Tree Stores and Dollar General Stores across America. Officials said the most recent robberies were in Pennsylvania and Connecticut.

Coeur d'Alene Police said he is also a suspect in the robbery at the Dollar Tree on W. Neider Avenue.

Authorities said after the robbery in Connecticut police there identified Hunter as the suspect. Connecticut law enforcement and the FBI were able to track Hunter to a casino in eastern Indiana. The FBI took Hunter into custody at the casino without incident. Officials said Hunter is being held by the FBI on federal charges.
