SPOKANE, Wash.— The ice ribbon in downtown Spokane has brought more than just a new fun winter activity to the area.

Businesses reported the ice ribbon has brought in more customers during the holiday season.

General manager at Tomato Street, Nick Talarico said he had definitely seen a huge impact on business since the ice ribbon opened.

"We've noticed a lot especially during the week, you know there's a lot more families downtown, you know being a family restaurant I think we are kind of a destination," said Talarico.

Other business owners in the area said they look forward to the business the new addition to Riverfront Park will bring.
