QUINCY, Wash. – The Quincy School District went into a precautionary and modified shelter-in-place Friday morning, Superintendent John Boyd confirmed.

The district took the precautionary measures after a former school district employee made a few strange posts on social media.

Boyd said the former employee was in the area earlier Friday morning, but is being monitored closely by authorities. Boyd said authorities told the district the former employee does not appear to be a threat.
