MOSES LAKE, Wash. – The Moses Lake Police Department said two people were arrested early Monday morning when officers found drugs and a gun during a search warrant.
According to officials, Moses Lake Police officers were investigating the sale of illegal drugs. At about 3:00 a.m. Monday officers served a search warrant on a motel room located in the 1200 block of South Pioneer Way in Moses Lake. Officers arrested Nicholas Ritchie, 26, and Tessa Harvill, 23, for drug and firearms charges.
Officials said during a search of the motel room officers found methamphetamine and heroin along with paraphernalia and evidence of drug use throughout the room. According to police, Ritchie admitted to selling drugs to finance his own drug habit. Ritchie also admitted to allowing others to use the motel room for their own drug use. Officers said they also found an illegally possessed .38 revolver.
Ritchie was booked into the Grant County Jail on charges of possession of heroin with intent to deliver with a firearm enhancement, possession of methamphetamine, and maintaining a drug house.
Harvill was booked on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of heroin, and maintaining a drug house.
