Body found near home of missing Ferry Co. person

The body was found in a small pond near the home of Renata "Robert" Judd.

INCHELIUM, Wash. — A body was recovered from a pond near the home of a missing Ferry County person on Monday.

According to a Facebook post from the Ferry County Sheriff’s Office, the body was found in a small pond near the home of Renata "Robert" Judd on Hall Creek Road. The body of a dog was also recovered from the pond.

Judd was last seen at his home in Inchelium on Dec. 13, 2019 by a friend. 

Search and Rescue crews found a boot along the shoreline and resumed their search of the nearby area, the post said. The Stevens County Dive Team assisted with the search and recovery.

According to the sheriff’s office, the body has not been positively identified and an autopsy has been scheduled.

The sheriff’s office said foul play is not suspected at this time.
