OLDTOWN, Idaho — Bonner County Sheriff's Office reported Highway 41 was reopened Tuesday morning after a structure fire in Oldtown, Idaho closed the Highway near East 4th Street Monday night.

Officials said the fire started around 6:00 p.m. A fireman nearby noticed the smoke coming from the home and started knocking on the doors and windows to make sure the people in side were getting out. Authorities said everyone made it out ok. A firefighter was injured but he ended up being ok and went back to fighting the fire.

Fire crews said the roof of the home caved in and it is a total loss. The family was home at the time of the fire and everyone made it out ok.

More than 30 firefighters responded to the fire and all of them were volunteers.

The state fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
