Fredericktown, MO. -- While Justin Sullivan was deer hunting in the northeastern foothills of the St. Francois Mountains, he spotted a bobcat walking in his direction. A deer was following the bobcat. The hunter pulled out his iPhone and was able to capture this amazing video.

The Missouri Department of Conservation says it would be rare that a bobcat would attack a human, but should you encounter a bobcat, you should keep as much distance between you and the animal as possible.

1. Immediately protect children and pets.
2. Back away from the bobcat slowly and deliberately.
3. Avoid running away because that could trigger a pursuit response.
4. If possible, spray the animal with water.
