GRANT COUNTY, Wash — Officials with The Southeastern Washington All Hazards team said level 1 evacuations remain in effect for homes near the fire on State Road 26.
Southeastern Wwashington All Hazards public information officer, Ben Shearer said the fire was lined 100 percent but only about 80 percent contained Tuesday morning.
Shearer said officials were turning the fire back over to local agencies and would head out of the area around 4:00 p.m. Tuesday evening.
State fire assistance has been mobilized to help and support local firefighters working to contain the fire. WSP Officials said the fire is estimated to be 17,470 acres.
The State Fire Marshal's Office on Sunday morning said one home and one outbuilding were lost.
Officials request that people do not fly drones in the area. The fire is threatening crops, homes and infrastructure in the area.
