SPOKANE, Wash. --- Spokane authorities have joined forces with the FBI for a state wide sex trafficking sting.

It was all part of Operation Cross Country.

The FBI worked with local law enforcement officials in 7 cities in Washington State, including Spokane and Airway Heights.

They ended up contacting almost 70 victims, some of which were forced into prostitution as kids.

They were able to rescue at least five underage women who had been forced into prostitution.

They also contacted a dozen more adults, to help them get the resources they need to get out of prostitution.

It is the 10th sting from Operation Cross Country since 2008.

Similar operations took place across the United States, and for the first time, in several other countries as well.

At least 14 suspects were arrested in Washington.

A total of 239 sex traffickers were arrested around the world.
