SPOKANE, Wash. --- A local music shop is looking for the man they say stole a $2,400 guitar from them by swapping it for his old instrument.

Representatives from Hoffman Music on Monroe said they captured the theft on their security cameras last Thursday afternoon. The man is seen walking into the shop and getting his old guitar re-strung and purchasing guitar picks.

In the video, he is seen looking at the new Martin D 18 guitar. Store owners said he swapped it out for his old guitar, though the move was hidden by a counter in the video.

The man left behind his old Jasmine guitar, valued at about $50, according to the store owners.

Hoffman Music reported the incident to police.
