Representative Cathy McMorris Rodgers held a telephone town hall Tuesday evening.

She answered questions about the GOP tax plan. She said the plan has been something lawmakers have been working on for about a year.

"I think we need to recognize we are losing jobs. I want America to be the best place to start a business and grow a business. simplifying the tax code is an important piece of that," said McMorris Rodgers. "We can do better and must do better."

She also addressed net neutrality. She said she supports an open and free internet. Although, she said she has concerns about the rules put in place by the FCC.

"Instead of it being done through rules that are impacting rural areas," McMorris Rodgers said. "I believe we need to come to the table. Congress needs to find a bipartisan legislative solution that will protect consumers."
