PORTLAND, Ore. -- Two years after completing the most-successful Kickstarter campaign of all time, the folks behind the Coolest Cooler are being investigated by the Oregon Department of Justice.

Coolest Cooler is an ingenious, rugged cooler that has a blender, charger, speaker, cutting board and more. The Kickstarter campaign took in more than $13 million, mostly from people who thought they were getting the cooler at half what its retail price would be.

But two years later, a lot of those people are still waiting for their coolers as the creators claimed they ran out of money. According to an Oregonian report, 315 consumers have filed complaints with the DOJ.

A spokeswoman for the DOJ confirmed the investigation to KGW. The department doesn't discuss the nature of their investigations but told the Oregonian it's looking into whether the Coolest Cooler violated consumer protection law.
