Spokane fatal shooting leads to arrest, murder charge
SPOKANE, Wash. -- Spokane Police Department leaders confirmed they arrested a suspect for a fatal shooting near Washington and Central Saturday night.
Brian L. Hall, 43 was taken into custody early Sunday morning for First Degree Murder, according to SPD. Officers said it took just eight hours after the initial call for officers to arrest the suspect. Hall was taken into custody around 3:30 a.m.
The deadly shooting happened around 8:00 p.m. about 10 blocks north of Northtown Mall off Division. Police said a 38-year-old victim died as a result of the shooting. The Spokane County Medical Examiner later identified the victim as Demetrius D. Dennis and said he was shot in the chest.
Authorities said they are confident it was not random.
