LA County Sheriff's assist SPD to arrest band members for first degree kidnapping

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office took four males into custody for first degree kidnapping Saturday morning stemming from an incident that occurred in downtown Spokane on September 1, 2017.

Spokane Police Department responded to a call from a victim on September 1 for reports of an incident after a concert for the band Decapitated.  According to SPD, the victim said she was held against her will by the band who was playing a concert at The Pin, located on Sprague avenue.

The report was sent to the Special Victim’s Unit for a follow up. 

On a subsequent investigation, SPD looked into the tour dates for the band Decapitated and discovered their next concert was in Santa Ana, California.  SPD then contacted the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office.

Based on the information gathered in the investigation, members of the band, Michal Mikolaj, 27, Waclaw Kieltyka, 35, Rafal Piotrowski, 31 and Hubert Wiecek, 30, were taken into custody without incident in Santa Ana, California Saturday morning.

In a news release from Spokane Police Department, officials said they would like to thank LA County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in the investigation.

Reports show the men will face extradition to Spokane.
